After the devastating loss of their 17-year-old son, Daniel, who tragically died by suicide, Daniel and Stephanie felt a strong sense of responsibility to address the lack of accessible mental health resources in their community. This personal tragedy inspired them to establish BEE MY VOICE INC. in 2018. Their organization is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and providing much-needed support and resources to those in need within their community.
Our outreach group is a diverse mix of individuals, including those directly impacted by suicide in Cecil County, as well as enthusiastic volunteers deeply driven to reduce the prevalence of suicide. Furthermore, our team is comprised of licensed therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, all of whom share a profound commitment to bolstering mental health and well-being throughout our community..
Our organization has formed a meaningful partnership with the Live for Thomas Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Through this collaboration, we are able to provide a wide range of mental health services to individuals in our community who are in need. This includes counseling, support groups, and educational resources. We are committed to advocating for suicide awareness and prevention from every angle, working closely with the foundation to ensure that our efforts address the various aspects of mental health and wellness.
Bee My Voice welcomes you to share cherished stories and treasured photos of your family and friends who are no longer physically present with us. We believe in the power of storytelling to honor and remember those we hold dear, and we would be grateful for the opportunity to share in your memories.

Bee My Voice has various volunteer positions that we need to be filled to provide postvention to Cecil County residents impacted by suicide. Can you spare an hour or two every month?
LOSS Team volunteers can function in a variety of roles including as first responders. Some of these capacities could include assembling resource folders, making follow-up calls, writing cards to the bereaved, visiting local community partners, tracking data, writing articles for newsletters, and assisting with community events such as International Survivors of Suicide Day.
Volunteers are the heart of the LOSS Team. It is not only their willingness to do what needs to be done, but their passion, strength, and hope that enables the work to be accomplished.
