An outreach of The Empty Chair Endeavor designed to support and equip survivors of child loss in rediscovering life, hope, and joy after unspeakable tragedy. Additionally, our mission involves educating the public about the life altering impact the death of a child has upon survivors, both parents and siblings, and equipping them to better support and minister to them. Join us as guests share their stories of heartbreaking loss and how God has shown up on their journeys to restore hope.
The host, Greg Buffkin, lives with his wife Cathy in South Carolina. Because Cathy and Greg lost their beautiful son Ryan to suicide in 2015 they understand the trauma and pain of losing a child. On a journey that began 7 years ago out of unspeakable trauma and brokenness, GOD has brought them through to a place of restoration, hope, and joy with a passion for helping fellow survivors on their journeys.

BEE MY VOICE INC. was founded in 2018 after the death of Daniel & Stephanie's 17 year old son, Daniel who died by suicide. We saw a need for more accessible mental health resources in our community.
Our outreach is made up of Cecil County suicide survivors, volunteers passionate to reduce the suicide rates, licensed therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals who are passionate about supporting mental health and wellness in our community.
We partner with the Live for Thomas Foundation to provide comprehensive mental health services to those in our community. Our partnership allows us the advocate full circle for suicide awareness.
What is a LOSS team
A LOSS Team consists of two to three volunteers who will arrive to the scene of a confirmed death by suicide. The team will provide bereavement support to suicide loss survivor community members through sharing resources locally, and nationally, but most importantly provide an installation of hope. Suicide loss survivors are at a greater risk of dying by suicide themselves after a loved ones suicide death.

Bee My Voice has various volunteer positions that we need to be filled to provide postvention to Cecil County residents impacted by suicide. Can you spare an hour or two every month?
LOSS Team volunteers can function in a variety of roles including as first responders. Some of these capacities could include assembling resource folders, making follow-up calls, writing cards to the bereaved, visiting local community partners, tracking data, writing articles for newsletters, and assisting with community events such as International Survivors of Suicide Day.
Volunteers are the heart of the LOSS Team. It is not only their willingness to do what needs to be done, but their passion, strength, and hope that enables the work to be accomplished.
